Award ceremony Neuköllner Kunstpreis 2026

In 2026, the Neuköllner Kunstpreis will be awarded for the tenth time – celebrate with us the winners and nominees at Heimathafen Neukölln and the exhibition opening at the Galerie im Saalbau!

The nominated artists will be presented to the public at a festive ceremony on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 7 p.m. at Heimathafen Neukölln (Karl-Marx-Straße 141, 12043 Berlin). The award will be presented by Janine Wolter, District Councilor for Education, Culture, and Sports in Neukölln.

After the award ceremony, Dr. Schock invites you to dance to a DJ set!

The nominees for the Neuköllner Kunstpreis 2026 are: Rula Ali, Anita Esfandiari, Va-Bene Elikem Fiatsi, Uladzimir Hramovich, Selma Laura Köran, Maryna Makarenko, muSa michelle mattiuzzi, and Tatsuma Takeda.

With its multitude of studios and art spaces, Neukölln is a lively and important location for the contemporary art scene. The Department of Culture honors this fact with the annual presentation of the Neuköllner Kunstpreis. In cooperation with the Kulturnetzwerk Neukölln e.V. and STADT UND LAND Wohnbauten-Gesellschaft mbH, outstanding artists from the Neukölln art scene are awarded a total of 6,000 euros (1st prize: 3,000 euros, 2nd prize: 2,000 euros, 3rd prize: 1,000 euros). STADT UND LAND will also award a special prize in the form of a purchase.

The works of the artists nominated by the six-member expert jury will be presented in a group exhibition at the Galerie im Saalbau. Come along to this special event to celebrate the diversity, quality, and experimental spirit of art in Neukölln!

Admission is free and no advance registration is required.

The Galerie im Saalbau will be open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. for the award ceremony.
