Jurystatement

Anita Esfandiari’s work expands the medium of painting into an installation in constant motion. The actual painting remains hidden inside and is only revealed to the viewer in fragments and in constant change. This visible parallel to early forms of cinema allows for an opening of the narrative, which ranges from motifs of Persian miniature painting to current themes.
