Neuköllner Kunstpreis 2022

Neukölln has been the creative epicenter of Berlin for many years. The national and international art scene creates a wealth of artistic production in the district, which is to be honored with the Neuköllner Kunstpreis (Neukölln Art Award). More than 170 artists living or working in Neukölln applied again this year. Seven of them were nominated by a jury of five experts for the art prize, which is endowed with a total of 6,000 euros. The Galerie im Saalbau will present the works of the nominees in a group exhibition. This gives visitors an authentic insight into the multi-layered production and special quality of the works of Neukölln artists, which are created here every day in countless studios, apartments and project spaces.
The awards are endowed with a total of 6,000 euros:
1st prize - 3.000 euros
2nd prize - 2,000 euros
3rd prize - 1.000 euros

The winners will be selected in a second jury meeting after the exhibition has been set up. In addition, a special prize will be awarded by STADT UND LAND Wohnbauten-Gesellschaft mbH in the form of a purchase.

The members of the jury are
Dorothee Bienert (Director of the municipal galleries of Neukölln), Frederik Foert (artist), Lisa Premke (artist), Mina Mahouti (Kulturnetzwerk Neukölln e.V.), Can Mileva Rastovic (Head of Workshop Diversity / Young Arts Neukölln). The jury was chaired (without voting rights) by Nora Zender.

The nominees and the award winners will be presented to the public at a festive ceremony on Monday, February 14, 2022, at 7 p.m. at Heimathafen Neukölln (Karl-Marx-Strasse 141, 12043 Berlin).
