Neukölln-based artist Ingo Gerken (1971) intervenes in predetermined patterns of order with his minimalist and humorous works. In his spatial installations, Gerken reshapes everyday objects and assigns them new functions. Through reduction and addition, both the artistic potential and the utilisation quality of the objects are rearranged and explored.
For the exhibition in the Galerie im Saalbau, he has invited the artist Florian Neufeldt (1976) to jointly develop a project that makes reference to the rooms.
