Opening of the exhibition

The exhibition SPARE PART BODIES presents works of various transformative processes of trash.

INGEBORG LOCKEMANN investigates legal and illegal landfills with the help of digital sources and on location in Brandenburg, which has become the target of international waste disposal since the reunification. The dumping of waste creates unintentional monumental forms in the landscape.

BIRGIT SCHLIEPS deals with workshops in interstices of the city that are increasingly disappearing. Those involved in repair and reconstruction interact with vehicle bodies in reference to the original, function, codes, and networks.
